Time & Date Tools FAQ
What is the Pomodoro Timer and how does it work?
The Pomodoro Technique splits work into focused sessions, usually 25 minutes, with a 5-minute break after each one and a longer break after every fourth session. Pick Pomodoro, choose a preset or set your own focus and break lengths, and press Start focus. The timer keeps exact time in a background tab, shows the minutes left in the tab title, and can play a sound or show a notification when a session ends.
How do I convert time between different time zones?
Pick Converter, choose the From time zone, set the date and time, then choose the To time zone. You can search by city, country, zone name or an abbreviation such as EST or IST. The result shows the converted time and date, how many hours apart the two zones are, and the same moment in every city on your world clock. Daylight saving time is applied automatically.
Can I track multiple cities with the World Clock?
Yes. Search for a city or time zone and press Add. Each city shows its current time, date, UTC offset, how far ahead or behind you it is, and whether it is day or night there. You can remove cities or sort them by time, and your list is saved in your browser for your next visit.
Does the stopwatch keep running if I close the tab?
Yes. The stopwatch, Pomodoro timer, countdowns and time tracker save their start time in your browser, so they keep correct time in a background tab and carry on after a reload. Laps show the split time and the running total, with the fastest and slowest lap marked, and you can copy them or download them as a CSV file.
How do I set a countdown timer for a few minutes?
Pick Countdown, choose For a duration, tap a quick length such as 5 or 10 minutes or type hours, minutes and seconds, then press Start timer. To count down to an event instead, choose To a date and pick the date and time. You can run several countdowns at once, and each one can play a sound when it ends.
Can I export my time tracking logs?
Yes. When you finish a task in the Time Tracker it is saved to your log with its start time, end time and duration. Show today, the last 7 days or everything, see the total per project, and download the log as a CSV file for a spreadsheet or an invoice.
